Viscount CURZONasked the Prime Minister whether any statement can yet be made as to the construction of the Channel tunnel; whether the naval and military experts have as yet reported upon it; whether such a report was favourable or not; and, if not, whether he can give any idea as to when a decision will be reached upon this matter?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI regret that I am unable to make a statement on this subject. In view of the great number of urgent questions engaging the attention of the Government at the present time, I am unable to state when a decision will be reached.
