HC Deb 02 June 1921 vol 142 cc1242-3
107. Mr. CAIRNS

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies the form of the inquiry into the outbreak which occurred in Jaffa in connection with the May Day demonstration there; and whether investigations have been commenced?

Mr. WOOD

The Commission of Inquiry consists of the Chief Justice of Palestine and two other British officials of the Palestine Government, and is assisted in its labours by three prominent Palestinian notables, one Christian, one Jew, and one Moslem. It has already commenced its investigations.
