Mr. GALBRAITHasked the Chief Secretary whether the town of Bantry, County Cork, was partially wrecked by the police on the 15th May, 1920, again on the 23rd June, and again on the 25th June; whether many houses were burned and looted on these occasions; and whether any inquiries have been held and any punishments inflicted?
§ Sir H. GREENWOODI have had inquiries made into these matters, and am informed that there is no evidence that any members of the police force were concerned in any of the acts of destruction mentioned.
