HC Deb 01 June 1921 vol 142 cc1040-1
40. Captain W. BENN

asked the Chief Secretary for Ireland whether he will now make available for Members a complete file of the "Weekly Summary," as promised in the House on 4th May?

The CHIEF SECRETARY for IRELAND (Colonel Sir Hamar Greenwood)

As I have already said in this House, early copies of the "Weekly Summary" are not available.

Captain BENN

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that the Attorney-General for Ireland stated in the House on the 4th May that he would do every- thing in his power to get the back numbers? Does he say there are no copies on the file in Dublin Castle?

Sir H. GREENWOOD

Months ago I asked for all copies, in answer to a question by the hon. and gallant Member for Central Hull (Lieut.-Commander Ken-worthy). I was unable to get them. It is my regret that I cannot supply them to the hon. and gallant Gentleman.

Mr. MOSLEY

Can hon. Members take any steps to secure copies for themselves, or are they liable to prosecution?
