HC Deb 01 June 1921 vol 142 c1024
9. Sir C. KINLOCH-COOKE

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether he is now in a position to make any statement regarding naval officers' marriage allowances?

Mr. AMERY

I regret that I am unable to add anything to my previous replies on this subject.

Sir C. KINLOCH-COOKE

Can the hon. Gentleman tell the House when he thinks he will be in a position to give some definite reply to this request, which has been preferred so often during the present Session?

Mr. AMERY

I know my hon. Friend appreciates some of the difficulties, but I hope to be able to make a definite statement when the First Lord's Vote comes on.
