HC Deb 24 February 1921 vol 138 c1136
30. Mr. HIGHAM

asked the Prime Minister whether he is aware of the fact that relatives of those fallen in the War cannot visit the grave of the unknown soldier after 3 p.m.; and will he consider the advisability of recommending that the Abbey be kept open till at least 6 p.m. in future?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

With the exception of the hours of divine service, when visitors are not allowed to be walking about, the Abbey is open to the public throughout the whole year until dark. I do not think it desirable to recommend that visitors-should be admitted up to a later hour.
