HC Deb 21 February 1921 vol 138 c539
35. Captain Viscount CURZON

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the prevailing wave of unemployment, he can yet state whether any decision has as yet been reached with reference to the Channel Tunnel?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I can add nothing to the answer which was given by the Prime Minister to a similar question by my Noble Friend on the 23rd December last.

Viscount CURZON

Can the right hon. Gentleman give us any idea when it will be possible to avoid shelving this problem, and when we can have a reply one way or the other?

Mr. BONAR LAW

I do not think that the present from any point of view is a suitable time for attempting to deal with this question.
