27. Mr. RAPER

asked the Prime Minister what reply has been received from the Russian Soviet Government to the proposals submitted by His Majesty's Government as a basis for an economic agreement; and what is the present position of the negotiations?

40. Mr. BRIANT

asked the Prime Minister what is the present position with regard to the conclusion of a trade agreement with Russia?

The PRIME MINISTER

A reply was sent from Moscow on 5th February. The reply proposed certain amendments in the agreement proposed by His Majesty's Government, and those amendments are now under consideration. It is understood that M. Krassin will shortly be back in London.

I do not think so.
