HC Deb 22 April 1921 vol 140 c2316

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That this House do now adjourn."—[Mr. Shortt.]

Mr. ASQUITH

Has the Home Secretary any statement to make about the coal industry dispute?

The SECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr. Shortt)

The representatives, both of the miners and the mine-owners, have this afternoon met the Prime Minister. I am not in a position to say what took place at the Conference, but I am at least able to say that the Conference is still in existence, and has been adjourned until Monday.

Motion, by leave, withdrawn.

The remaining Orders were read, and postponed.

Whereupon Mr. SPEAKER adjourned the House, without Question put, pursuant to Standing Order No. 3.

Adjourned at Three Minutes after Five o'clock till Monday next, 25th April.
