HC Deb 21 April 1921 vol 140 cc2056-7
Mr. O'CONNOR

(by Private Notice) asked the Chief Secretary whether it is not a fact that in the fight between the police and the auxiliaries at Castleconner Mr. O'Donnovan, the proprietor of the hotel, was taken out into the yard and placed against a wall and there assassinated, while the life of the policeman by his side was spared?

Mr. HENRY

I have not yet received the report of the Court of Inquiry in lieu of inquest, but I am informed that this allegation is indignantly denied, and the police state that Mr. O'Donovan was killed in the course of the melee.

Mr. O'CONNOR

I will repeat the question when the right hon. Gentleman has got a further report.
