HC Deb 21 April 1921 vol 140 c2050
75. Mr. RAFFAN

asked the Chief Secretary the result of the court-martial on the platoon commander, I company, Auxiliary Division, Royal Irish Constabulary, who was put back for court-martial in January for theft while searching a house?

Mr. HENRY

Owing to the difficulty of obtaining the attendance of witnesses from England and elsewhere, this case has not yet been brought to trial, but the officer charged is under close arrest.

Mr. RAFFAN

Can the right hon. and learned Gentleman give me any information when the trial is likely to take place?

Mr. HENRY

No, Sir; I cannot name a date, but I will take care it is expedited as much as possible.
