Sir A. MONOI am informed that the facts are substantially as stated in my ton. Friend's previous question. My hon. Friend will be aware that there are at present no other statutory powers for dealing with this matter, which is part of the general question of damage due to subsidence, now under the consideration of the Government. A conference has been arranged with representatives of the Council on the subject.
