§ 44. Major PRESCOTTasked the First Commissioner of Works if he will name the towns where the Office of Works are erecting houses by arrangement with the Ministry of Health; whether he will give the number of houses now under construction, or to be constructed, by his Department for the various local authorities; whether he will state the percentage charged against these housing schemes for establishment expenses; and if he will say whether the contracts make any provision for penalising the Office of Works in the event of the estimated cost being exceeded as in the case of a private employer's contract?
