HC Deb 11 April 1921 vol 140 cc736-7
64. Mr. MYERS

asked the President of the Board of Education what steps have been taken to give effect to the recommendations of the Departmental Committee on scholarships and free places.

Sir P. MAGNUS

Will any opportunity be given to the House for discussing those recommendations, before steps are taken to give them effect?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. Fisher)

I presume that the hon. Baronet will have an opportunity of raising the point to-morrow on the Estimates. The 23 recommendations of the Departmental Committee cover a great deal of ground and raise large financial and educational issues which are-still under consideration.
