HC Deb 29 October 1920 vol 133 c2203
Captain CRAIG

I had given notice of an Amendment to this Schedule providing that no officer or constable who retires, or is removed under the provisions of this Bill, shall receive a less pension than he would have received had he continuel to serve during the added period. In view of the promise of the Government to deal with the question of the police in new Clauses I have been asked not to move this Amendment.

Schedule ordered to stand part of the Bill.

The CHAIRMAN

The new Schedule standing on the Paper in the name of the right hon. Gentleman the Member for Peebles (Sir D. Maclean) is consequential on an Amendment accepted on Clause 1. The same thing applies to the Amendment in the name of the hon. Member for Dunfermline (Mr. Wallace) and to the remaining new Schedules of which notice has been given.

Bill reported, with Amendments.

Bill, as amended, to be considered upon Monday next, and to be printed. [Bill 221.]
