§ 15. Mr. RAFFANasked the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs whether he is able to assure the House that the employment of black troops in the occupied area in Germany has been discontinued; and, if not, whether any representation has been made to the French Government on the subject?
Mr. HARMSWORTHI understand that certain native African units, not however composed of black and negro troops, form part of the French army of occupation. The answer to the second part of the question is in the negative if representation by His Majesty's Government is meant.
Sir J. D. REESIs this expression black to cover any Indian troops? If so, is it not equally inappropriate and unacceptable?
