HC Deb 20 October 1920 vol 133 c916
17. Mr. HOLMES

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is now able to publish the report of the Central Profiteering Committee on Sewing Cotton; and whether, in doing so, he will issue the original Report, the comments made upon it by Messrs. J. and P. Coats, Limited, and the modification which the committee have accepted as a result of the representation of the company?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of TRADE (Sir P. Lloyd-Greame)

The Report of the sub-committee appointed by the Central Committee under the Profiteering Acts to investigate sewing cotton was published in August last, and has been presented to Parliament (Command Paper No. 930). The Report was published in the form in which it was received from the sub-committee. No modifications have been made to the Report at the instance of Messrs. J. and P. Coats, Limited.
