HC Deb 20 October 1920 vol 133 c905
3. Sir. ALFRED YEO

asked the Minister of Labour, whether he can introduce propaganda which shall bring to the mind of the worker the fact that the policy of restriction of output has a very close connection with unemployment?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of LABOUR (Sir Montague Barlow)

The whole problem of increased production in industry is receiving the careful consideration of the Government, and in that connection the points indicated in my hon. Friend's question will be kept in mind.

Mr. MALONE

Is it not the fact that so long as the capitalist system lasts unemployment with its attendant poverty is inevitable?

Sir M. BARLOW

I cannot answer that without notice.
