HC Deb 19 October 1920 vol 133 cc747-8
3. Sir J. D. REES

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether any opportunity will be afforded of discussing the Report of the Committee on the employment of women on police duties before any action is taken thereon?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for the HOME DEPARTMENT (Sir John Baird)

I have consulted the Leader of the House on this matter. I doubt if there is any general desire for a discussion on the subject, and in any case I fear there would be great difficulty in finding time.

Sir J. D. REES

Are we to understand that the House is committed to this extravagant eccentricity?
