HC Deb 30 November 1920 vol 135 cc1104-5
51. Mr. W. CARTER

asked the Prime Minister what is the attitude of the British Government as to the control of raw materials by the League of Nations; and what instructions were given to the British delegates on this question?

Mr. BONAR LAW

The question of the distribution of raw materials is not formally before the present Assembly of the League of Nations as the matter had previously been referred by the Council of the League to the temporary Economic and Financial Committee for examination, with a view to its consideration at the Economic and Financial Conference of the League at some date next year; and the question of the instructions to be given to the British Delegates to that Conference will be considered in due course.
