§ Mr. A. HENDERSONMay I ask the Chief Secretary whether this morning a raid was made upon the headquarters of the Transport Union in Dublin, and whether arrests were made of prominent trade unionists, and what is the charge preferred against them?
§ Sir H. GREENWOODLiberty Hall was raided at 11.40 this morning by a military search party. Alderman O'Brien who was found on the premises accompanied the party during the search. A quantity of literature was seized, and bombs found behind fire-place. One revolver, ammunition of various types, rifle aiming rests, targets, etc., were also found. Thirty men were detained pending examination which will be completed as soon as possible and will doubtless result in release of large proportion. Alderman O'Brien and Mr. Tom Johnston have already been released. Further inquiry is being made as to Mr. Tom Farren.
