HC Deb 17 November 1920 vol 134 c1856
6. Mr. BENNETT

asked the Secretary of State for India if, in view of the satisfaction which has been caused in commercial circles by the Report of the Couchman Committee on the purchase of stores for the Government in India, he can give an assurance that this Report in its main outlines will be acted upon by the Government of India?

Mr. MONTAGU

I regret that I cannot announce any decision on the Committee's recommendations until I have had an opportunity of examining them in the light of the Government of India's views, which have not yet reached me.
