HC Deb 09 November 1920 vol 134 cc1007-8
69. Mr. REMER

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty what offices his Depart- ment occupy in the Cunard Buildings, Liverpool; and what good purpose is served by their continuance?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the ADMIRALTY (Colonel Sir James Craig)

The Admiralty do not now occupy any offices in the Cunard Buildings, Liverpool. The second part of the question does not therefore arise.

Mr. REMER

Is the hon. and gallant Gentleman aware that next door to my own office in Liverpool there is an office which has on the door: "Admiralty, Transport Department"?

Sir J. CRAIG

My hon. Friend may take it from me that the Admiralty do not possess any office there. There might be a notice there which has not been taken down.

Mr. REMER

Is the hon. and gallant Gentleman aware that several people are going in and out in uniform every day?
