§ Sir H. GREENWOODThe Belfast force at present consists of 542 Roman Catholics and 562 Protestants. The corresponding figures on the 31st December, 1916, were 602 and 550. I am not aware of any statute regulating the religious constitution of the Belfast force or of any other police force in the United Kingdom.
