asked the Prime Minister if he is aware of the distress and poverty existing in the families of persons who have been disabled through injuries received while following their employment and who have to meet the present high cost of living out of the amounts provided by the Workmen's Compensation Act; and if it is the inten- 1724 tion of the Government to immediately introduce an improved Workmen's Compensation Act on the lines recommended by the Committee appointed to deal with the matter in their Report?
