HL Deb 19 April 2004 vol 660 c1WA
Lord Laird

asked Her Majesty's Government:

When communications from the Northern Ireland Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety will be issued on headed paper using either three languages (English, Ulster Scots and Irish) or only English. [HL1855]

The Lord President of The Council (Baroness Amos)

In the absence of a restoration of the devolved institutions, the Government have no plans to change their present approach to the use of language on letterheads for the departments of the Northern Ireland Administration, including that for the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety.
