§ Ms HewittPromoting equality and diversity will be fundamental to the role of the Commission for Equality and Human Rights. As I said in my written statement to the House of 30 October, I shall be establishing a task force with members representing the interests concerned to provide advice on key issues for the CEHR in preparation for a White Paper setting out proposals for the CEHR in the spring. These will include proposals for the CEHR's statutory powers and duties.
