§ Ms HewittUK companies, including many SMEs, will benefit from the creation of the largest single market in the world, as it expands to include the fast growing economies of central and eastern Europe. Our trade with the new member states , from a low base, is growing much faster than UK's trade overall. Over 14,000 companies, many of them SMEs are already exporting 29W to the region. Further analysis of the trade and investment impact is being finalised and will be published shortly.
