What information they have about appeals against refusal of planning permission for development of gypsy sites in the latest 12 months for which figures are available. [HL3518]

The Planning Inspectorate's database holds the following information on appeals against the refusal of planning permission for the establishment of gypsy sites for the period 1 April 2002 to 31 March 2003:

92 appeals were received in this period;

14 were allowed;

39 were dismissed;

8 have been withdrawn;

31 cases are ongoing.
