Mr. McNamara

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills if she will list the(a) targeted and (b) actual private sector funding for each education action zone. [4413]

[holding answer 17 July 2001]: Each large education action zone aims to raise up to £250,000 pa from the private sector; each small education action zone aims to raise £50,000 pa from the private sector.

The amounts of actual private sector sponsorship obtained by each education action zone to the end of the last financial year, along with the zone's start date, is shown in the following tables:
