§ The Lord Chancellor (Lord Irvine of Lairg)I have had preliminary discussions on a confidential basis with, amongst others, the Lord Chief Justice, the Chairman of the Bar Council, the President of the Law Society, the past chairman of my Advisory Committee on Legal4WA Education and Conduct, and the new chairman. I hope to make a public announcement of my proposals in due course and to publish a consultation paper.
