Implementation of the new Price Indications Directive—currently at an advanced stage of negotiations—will require the making of a new Price Marking Order and the revocation of the 1991 Order. My Department will consult business organisations and others, and will prepare a new compliance cost assessment before the new Order is laid before Parliament.
