How many heads of state or government are expected to attend the forthcoming United Nations World Food Summit in Rome; how many will be from the Group of Seven; and at what level the United Kingdom will be represented.
§ The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Baroness Chalker of Wallasey)The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation is organising the World Food Summit. The President of Italy plans to open the summit which will be chaired by the Italian Prime Minister. FAO has not yet provided details of which other heads of18WA state or government are expected to attend. I will represent the Prime Minister at the summit for the United Kingdom.
