§ Miss WiddecombeWe do not expect that our proposals on the prevention of illegal working will affect small businesses disproportionately. We intend to keep the burden on all employers to a minimum, and will have this in mind in the preparation of guidance. The responses to our consultation document and compliance cost assessment lead us to think that the compliance costs for small business will, in the main, be minimal.
