In addition, forces on exercise overseas often provide limited training to, or train alongside, the armed forces of the host nation. A central record of such training is not maintained.

It is not the practice to give details of the training given to overseas students, including the names of individuals, as these are regarded as confidential between governments.

Decisions to provide training to overseas students from a particular country are taken on a case by case basis taking into account all relevant information available at the time. Our policy on such training is kept under regular review.
