§ Viscount GoschenThe Government remain committed to minimising the regulatory burden on the goods and passenger transport operators, including that imposed by operator licensing. We are today issuing a consultation document with a number of proposals for simplifying operator licensing by removing unnecessary requirements. Copies have been placed in the Library. Subject to the views of consultees, we intend to seek early legislation to implement these measures.
