To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will state the reasons for the time taken to reimburse the eastern sea fisheries joint committee under EC Council decision 89/631.

The average time for reimbursement of grant under Council decision 89/631 is at least three months after the application has been forwarded to the Commission. The committee's first application for grant was dated 25 February 1993, and the moneys have been paid into the committee's bank account.
