HC Deb 10 May 1993 vol 224 cc354-5W
Mr. Hinchliffe

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what research she has conducted into socio-economic factors in cancers, by cancer type.

Mr. Sackville

The Department does not conduct research specifically into socio-economic factors in cancers. The Department's estimated expenditure on research into cancer in the financial year 1992–93 is £4,188,733. Several of the projects being undertaken cover socio-economic factors as part of the wider research.
