How many prison custody officers have been assaulted at Wolds Prison since it opened in 1992 and whether they will provide further information about these assaults.

Earl Ferrers has asked me to reply to your recent question asking how many prison custody officers have been assaulted at Wolds Prison since it opened in 1992 and whether further information about these assaults will he provided.

Since April 1992, when Wolds Remand prison opened, up to and including 19 July 1993, thirty-seven prisoner custody officers have been assaulted. Details are given in the table.
