§ Mr. HanleyThe automated low flying enquiry and notification system—ALFENS—will enhance safety by improving the availability and exchange of accurate information to military aircrew at all times. The system will also provide more flexible deconfliction arrangements at night but is not designed to provide deconfliction for daytime flying. ALFENS will be introduced into service as quickly as possible.
