§ Baroness Chalker of WallaseySubsequent to my answer to the noble Lord Brougham and Vaux on 15th December 1992, ODA have appointed Coopers and Lybrand Management Consultants to advise on possible options for the future status of the Crown 9WA Agents. This work is still in progress and no conclusions have yet been reached. The recommendations of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission in their recent efficiency scrutiny of the Commonwealth Development Corporation and options for the future 10WA status of the corporation are under consideration in the context of the current quinquennial review. A response by CDC and the Government to the MMC's recommendations will shortly be made available to Parliament.
