§ Mr. YeoThe statutory basis for the provision of home help service to elderly people is contained in the following legislation
Section 29 of the National Assistance Act 1948;Section 2 of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Persons Act 1970;Section 45 of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968;Section 21 and Schedule 8 of the National Health Service Act 1977.
