§ Mr. AltonTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he will list the number of consents to companies to discharge waste in the River Mersey issued for each year since 1979;
(2) if he will list the number of prosecutions brought together with the number of convictions secured for polluting the River Mersey for each year since 1979.
§ Mr. BaldryI understand that information on numbers of discharge consents, or on prosecutions or convictions, is not held centrally by the NRA in respect of individual rivers.
