§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe middle east peace talks launched in Madrid are well under way. There have been three rounds of bilaterals: we expect a fourth to begin shortly. A useful meeting to organise multilateral talks took place in Moscow on 28 and 29 January. I shall review progress with my EC colleagues at our next meeting in Lisbon on 17 February.
