§ Mr. Peter LloydI am not aware of any complaints about police procedures in this investigation, which was carried out by the Merseyside police and Liverpool social services department. My right hon. Friend has no plans for a fundamental review of police procedures. Home Office350W officials are assisting in the revision of "Working Together" which is being undertaken by the Department of Health. Some additional guidance for the police to complement Home Office circular 52/1988 is likely to be issued when the revised "Working Together" is published.
