HC Deb 24 June 1991 vol 193 c372W
Mr. Bernie Grant

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the Government's policy on the passing of names of British citizens to foreign Governments for the purpose of warning those Governments that these citizens should not be granted entry to those countries; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Peter Lloyd

In the interests of international co-operation on law enforcement the names of people of whatsoever nationality may be passed to the authorities in other countries, for example for the purpose of taking forward an extradition request. All decisions over the granting of entry are the responsibility of the country concerned.
