HC Deb 17 July 1991 vol 195 c211W
Mr. William Ross

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he has given further consideration to the case for a new hospital on a greenfield site at Coleraine, Co. Londonderry; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Hanley

The Northern health and social services board's proposal for a new-build hospital on a greenfield site at Coleraine was submitted to the Department of Health and Social Services on 11 April. This is a major and complex proposal involving substantial capital expenditure and is therefore still being considered in detail within government. I hope that a decision can be taken in the near future.
