§ Mr. Norman LamontBritish Gas has announced average price rises of 7½ per cent. from 1 March. Given the weight of gas of 2.2 per cent., this should have an impact of between 0.15 and 0.2 per cent. on the retail prices index, once the new tariffs have been fully implemented. The electricity boards are in the course of announcing their prices for 1990–91.
