§ Mr. WaldegraveWe understand that there was a demonstration in Nove Zamky in Slovakia in mid-February, and that some anti-Hungarian sentiments were expressed at another in Bratislava on 5 March. In Romania in early February there were demonstrations and counter-demonstrations in Tirgu Mures and other Transylvanian towns about the issue of separate education for ethnic Hungarians, but we understand that there have been no further large demonstrations since then.
§ Mr. AltonTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made to the Governments of Czechoslovakia and Romania regarding the recent anti-Hungarian demonstrations in both countries.
