§ Mr. John PattenThe report entitled "A Scrutiny of Grants Under Section 11 of the Local Government Act 1966" has been welcomed by the Government for its thorough analysis of the problems surrounding section 11 grant. Ministers are presently considering the changes needed in order to improve the effectiveness of assistance provided for ethnic minorities by section 11 grant.
The Government hope that it will not be too long before an announcement can be made.
